This 1974 Kawasaki H2 Mach IV was rebuilt and refurbished in 2003 with work that included powder-coating the frame, painting the bodywork, reupholstering the seat, and fitting Sun rims, stainless-steel spokes, a Brembo brake rotor. The 748cc two-stroke triple and five-speed transmission were overhauled with a Purple Haze Racing (PHR) stage II performance kit that included porting and polishing the heads, boring the cylinders, and fitting 34mm Mikuni carburetors, .20mm-over pistons, Pro-Stock transmission internals, and a 15-plate clutch assembly. Additional modifications include PHR shocks, tapered steering head bearings, bronze swingarm bushings, and a stainless-steel braided brake hose.
The bodywork was refinished in silver with black accents, and the double-cradle frame was powder-coated black during the build. The brightwork was chrome-plated at that time and the two-up seat was reupholstered. Additional equipment includes a chrome passenger grab bar, a 4.4-gallon fuel tank, mirrors, and a side stand.
Sun alloy rims measuring 19″ up front and 18″ out back are laced with stainless-steel spokes to polished hubs and were mounted with Dunlop front and Pirelli rear tires in 2023. The bike was fitted with PHR shocks, bronze swingarm bushings, a Brembo brake rotor, Brembo front brake pads, and Ferodo rear brake shoes at that time, and the master cylinder was overhauled.
The five-speed transmission was modified with work that included modifying the case and fitting Pro-Stock-specification internals, MRE back-cut gears, a 15-plate clutch assembly, and a roller bearing clutch actuator. The rear sprocket was replaced, and a gold o-ring drive chain was fitted.
The chrome handlebar is mounted aft of an instrument cluster containing a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and indicator lights. The handlebar, controls, and cables were replaced during the 2003 build at which time a stainless-steel braided brake hose and tapered steering head bearings were fitted. The clutch cable was replaced in 2023. The five-digit odometer shows 4,600 miles, approximately 20 of which have been ridden under current ownership. Serious buyers contact for more details.
